Fighting Dizziness

I woke up this morning very dizzy, and it is now almost 6pm my time, and it hasn't gone away. I keep thinking it will get better, but so far it hasn't. I've been bouncing off of walls, hanging onto things a good share of the time when I walk, and it even bothers me when I'm sitting (altho there are no walls here on the couch! LOL) Along with it I have a headache, and my Fibro is worse today. I would just like to be able to walk a straight line and stop walking into the walls.
Thank you,
Nancy

Marcia, I'm new to the group - this is the first time I've been here, and I'm not sure how it works. I'm just going to jump right in, and if I do something wrong, someone just let me know. With that said, I read your plea for help with depression and lonliness. I've suffered from depression off and on for years, and it's the most empty feeling in the world. Something that one of our pastors talked to us about was just saying the name "Jesus" over and over. Just like you're crying out to Him. He's always right there, but sometimes it helps just to call out to Him. I'm going to give you some scriptures that I hope will help you. Read them often. 2 Sam 22: 17-18, 19b-20 He reached down from on high & took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my pwerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. The Lord is my support!!!!! He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me. Psalms 55:17 Evening, morning & noon I cry out in distress, and He hears my voice. Psalms 94:22 The Lord has become my fotress, & my God the rock in whom I take refuge. Isaiah 25:4 You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm & a shade from the heat. I read a lot in the Psalms when I'm really down. Here are some names of God if you're interested: The Lord is there, He's always present (Yahweh Shammah) Ezekial 48:35 God is my Rock Psalms 42:9, God of all comfort 2 Corinthians 1:3, God of Peace 1 Thessalonians 5:23, God our strength Psalms 18:2. I hope some of these you can find some peace and strength. I will keep you in my prayers.
It's been a while since your post, please let me know how you're doing now.
God bless you!

Hi Marcia,

I know exactly what you are going thru. I suffer from bipolar disorder, which includes moods ranging from intense depression to feeling stable, or feeling overly anxious and jittery. I am on medication and it does help. I know the lonliness you tall about....I suffer from that at times too. One thing that has helped stabalize my moods is fish oil. You may want to ask your doctor about that, (your pdoc or counselor may be able to provide more info on this for you).

I had a nervous breakdown in 2002....it was very difficult for me. I was hospitalized for a little over a week. I also suffer from a form of congestive heart failure called Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Diabetes. I am on a lot of heart medications. In 2001, when I went into heart failure with blood clots in my lungs, I was so scared....afraid of dying.....God seemed so far and remote from me. ) Jesus never fails. In the midst of your lonliness and depression, please know that God loves you so much. Right now when you cannot seem to follow, know that Jesus is carrying you. He will never let you go.

A few things that have helped me are: reaching out for help as you are....that is a good and positive step. Praying to God....remember to use the name of Jesus when you pray....there is Much Power in His Name. Listen to christian music. I like Susan Ashton and Amy Grant. I will keep you in my prayers Marcia. Remember what the Virgin Mary has said, "It is very important to pray for one another, for when you do, an angel sits on that person's shoulders." Prayer works miracles, I know for I am alive due to prayer. Remember Jesus loves you and so do I.

Love,
Katie

I also suffer from fibromyalgia!
Marcia Comment by Marcia on May 19, 2008 at 12:01pm
Please help! I'm so incredibly lonely and in despair. Since childhood I've suffered from intense loneliness (even when I'm with people), major depression, anxiety disorder and abandonment feelings. Nothing seems to help - including counseling, pastoral counseling, or medication. Every time the loneliness stuff is triggered, I want to die. God "asked" me last night, "If these feelings don't go away, will you nevertheless follow Me?"

I can't answer. I'm desperate for prayer and frightened.
