I just left Susan a message on her page. I told her I didn't know Rachel and that I am praying for her family. I also said that this group of people is a great group if she ever needed to talk or anything. I do believe she's with Jesus. I'm sorry though that she felt so horrible that this happened.
Hi Cecily,
That was the right one. Her mother left a couple messages on her page and then one on here so I got the notice. She is with Jesus now. We must keep praying for her family. It is so much more difficult when they overdose.
Thank you for praying
Hugs
Marney
Hi Marney,
Thanks for praying. I did know Rachel Clay died, I read her last post, unless it wasn't the right Rachel. She said she was going into the mental hospital. I didn't know her that well but I've been praying for her family.
Hi All,
I hope this finds you enjoying your 4th of July the best you can. For those of you who know me and have kept in touch with me, you know I haven't been sleeping at night for atleast the last 3 nights in row. Anyway, I finally crashed late last night but was up by midnight and was up till 5am. I crashed again this morning and have been sleeping most of the morning. Please pray that I can sleep through the night tonight so I can go to Church tomorrow. I switched churches last week because I felt the other church I was going to was too snobbish and was for the rich. They talk about money for 10-15 minutes right before the offering. I asked one of the higher ups in the church who worked with the pastors if they would be able to find someone to drive me to church. I don't feel comfortable driving when I'm on all these pain meds. Anyway, they said no and didn't even offer to try to find someone. I haven't asked anyone at this new church but I need to meet some people and get comfortable with them. It's painful for me to drive. Anyway, just wanted to ask for prayer, sorry for the tangent. I did want to say that I am thankful to God for the 1 day I was out of pain on Thursday. The pain came back last night but I'm not going to complain about it b/c I know complaining won't make the pain go away. I'm just thankful that I am alive and that I live in this wonderful country. Happy July 4th. Cecily
Hi Cecily,
I am so glad that you had a pain free day.
I agree with what Cecily is saying in pain or nor, in what every circumstance, our Great, Loving, Faithful God is always worthy of our worship our praise, our thanks.
If all we had was Salvation and the privilege of being in heaven, it is so much more then we deserve. We all deserve hell.
Our Heavenly Father gives us so much more then salvation, His presence, His Spirit living inside us, His friendship, protection, provision, so much more.
I think that all of us may need to adjust of our atitudes from time to time and focus on how faithful and good our God is to us. Just the fact that He would be our God should have us on our faces in worship.
Thanks Marney,
I am really being so ungrateful to God lately and it takes a day like today to put it in perspective. I am not in pain and haven't been most of the day. Now I know God would want me to thank HIM and I do. I don't have anything else to attribute my feeling good too. I may not feel good tomorrow but at least I have the memory of what it felt like to feel good even if it was for one day out of many that I hadn't felt good. I hope this encourages some people in this group. Our good days will come and so will our bad days but atleast we have each other to support one another and lift one another up in prayer.
Hi Cecily,
You are going to have to wait on God to answer you, He is at work in your life, you have food, clothing, a place to live, meds, medical care, family, friends, people who love you. Those are all gifts that could be gone in a moment. God owes us nothing. God is trying to teach you skills that you will need for the future. If you want to make spiritual progress and become near to God you are going to have to stop demanding and surrender and do things his way, no matter how llon you have to wait. God is still with you. He didn't stay in Va. Are you going to church? Are you reading your bible, praying and worshiping him? Or are you being busy doing other things that does not build your relationship with him. Are you on the computer to much? Do you have quiet time before you go on the computer? Make a list everyday of all the blessings that God has given you that day. Can you see, hear, breathe etc.
I have struggled with these issues too. The devil will distract us and worm doubt into our thinking when ever he can. We must use the weapons that God has given us.
Father,
We pray that you will show Cecily that you are as close as her breath. Strengthen her and help her discipline herself to build the relationship between you. Help to understant that she must invest in it by making time for you. Help her to snuggle up in your lap and listen to your heart. In Jesus' Name Amen
Can you pray for me, I feel very distant and angry with God. I'm angry with him over the fact that I've asked him several times to let me hear and see where he is at work in my life and I don't see any answer. I find myself yelling and cussing at God when in reality I'm mad at myself b/c I"m not a better Christian who should be able to notice him all around me. Things weren't this way in VA. Ever since I moved to AZ, my relationship with God has been a challenge.
