I am new to Rest Ministries. I found this website through Organized Writer website. I am interested in the concept of a week where illnesses that can't be readily seen are talked about. I am a writer. I am looking for markets for my pieces.
Hi everyone!
I am new to Rest Ministries and this group. When I saw the information about invisible illness week I was very excited. I ordered a static cling for the the car window. Now I want to get one for my house window. The one for the car says Living with invisible illness is like a roller coaster.....Help a friend hold on
I have fibromyalgia, asthma, disc and nerve problems in my neck, Gerd, TMJ, and IBS. I am a caregiver for my husband. I am blessed in having a Doctor who understands and listens to what I say about how I feel. I belong to a medical group which offers pain classes and pain groups.

Hello all. I just joined this website not long ago and saw the invisible illness group and thought that was cool, never heard of the awareness week before. Obviosly i've missed it but I intend to look into it. i've noticed there hasn't been any activity on this group since October so i'm not sure if anyone will reply but .... I figured I'd leave a message anyway.
Like Rachel and so many others I have fibro which is definately a very silent illness in the sense that people generally can't tell that there is anything wrong with you, in their opinion. Doctors sometimes think it's all in your head. I've been really lucky to have found 2 doctors who are awesome. I just wish other people understood it as well. Maybe I'll hear from some of you soon. Take care.
I suffer from fibro and have good days and bad days. I have had cancer surgery on my back 4 times. This last one was huge. My biggest problem is being tired and sleep all the time. I am finding out I am not alone since I have joined the sunroom. Thanks and God Bless, Rachel

Hello! I don't know how much time I have to answer all the messages, but I do appreciate the posts and I do want to be involved in Rest Ministries. My faith in Christ and my prayers keep me going!
Loved it, loved it-- thanks for all the hard work put into Invisible Illness week by Lisa, her husband and all those that helped Lisa and the speakers who spoke at the virtual conferences. I feel totally blessed. Hugz, Belle
Wow! What a wonderful week!! Satan tried with phone glitches and sickness to stop the message from getting out...but guess what....he LOST! God was glorified over and over this week. And with the seminars archived, He will continue to be glorified for years to come! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to LISA, Joel, and all the seminar speakers, and all the other volunteers who helped make this entire week possible. This week was a wonderful blessing. Thank you so very much! Create a positive day! Rhonda
I must confess, each day I have read, listen to, or read a guest blog, it clearly excites me and encourages me. The overwhelming support for IIA week is stunning. God is moving mountains and shaking things up :)
My faith has grown from what I have experienced this week. I ask God to richly bless each one of you for taking a leap of faith this week. You have no idea how many people each one of you will touch, inspire and encourage. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
I lift my hands up to the Lord, for He has given all of us a great plan, His plan. Heaven is surely rejoicing because of everyone's choice to not let the enemy keep us from opening up and sharing something that can be so hard to talk about, "Invisible Illness" and/or "Chronic Pain."
May God continue to do a good work in each one of you and your families.
I just want to say that this is such a wonderful resource and the virtual conferences on blogtalk radio. I haven't been able to listen to a lot of them at the time of the talk so I am thankful that we can go back to the archived ones and listen. Just this am I was able to listen to Julie. She brought up things that I had wondered about on how to approach when a family member needs help but is unwilling to receive the help they need. Now I have an added resource. Thank you so much! Blessings, Belle
I've been seeing some comments about people having trouble hearing the shows on Blog Talk Radio. Here's a suggestion, you may have to refresh or reload when you can't hear. If that doesn't work, sign out and back in.
To listen now... choose a show (see the list in the black) and then click the arrow button & turn up your computer speakers. To stop, just click the same button. Join us Tuesdays at 10 a.m. to hear the program live!
