I would like to find christian support and friendship and others who are going through the same.
About Me:
Where do i start. I am a christian mom of five kids.. Three at home.. I was diagnosed with rsd, fibro,ra and psoriasis. I wish to serve god every day, more abundantly, and more faithfully. Being sick has really taught me alot about myself and what i need to do to be a better servant to God, and to stop and smell the roses alot more. I realize that the little things in life are very important, and we are not to waste one minute of our day not spreading gods word. I also have my own forum Peaceinpain.com!
, Which i started for people who suffer chronic pain and emotional pain as well. God has blessed me immensely in my daily life , and i wish for others to find the peace that i have found.
Its been a long time since i have posted in the blog section. Ive been pretty busy the last couple months. I had surgery, which i am blessed to say turned out good amen for that. The kids are pretty busy, my daughter breanna age fourteen is in residential treatment in a local… Continue
Hi Everyone i havent been able to be here much, but pray and miss you all. Last Wednesday
i had my surgery. The night before my surgery was awesome. I had the most wonderful dream of hummingbirds
they were absolutely beautiful flying all over, landing in my hands, and the most vivid dream i ever had. I realized that
was god coming to me, letting me know that it was going to be ok. I am still in awe of that. My surgery went well
they took a four and a half inch cyst off my ovary, took the ovar… Continue

This past week has been a rough one. A couple weeks ago i got the phone call that my mentor as i call her, actually like a grandmother to me had fallen and was brain dead. It was very hard as our prayer for her would be to be healed and be back with us..but that was not to be the case. The family put her in respite and our prayer was that Jesus would take her home quickly. On wednesday morning i got a phone call from my friend that i thought i would never ever expect. My other friend Marge was f… Continue
Hi Jolene,
How are you? I've been busy being a Gram~ma to Baby Phoenix. I won my disability case ~ finally and God has given us a beautiful Condo to live in after losing our home. God is Restoring. I pray your health is being restored after surgery. Just dropped by to let you know ... I don't have a hummingbird feeder out at this condo but I saw one the other day swoop down and get some sweet stuff from all the flowers in the neighborhood. God Bless you and yours and happy "Hummer" season!
Love,
Rainbow Donna
JOLENE, THOMAS HERE. IT IS SO GOOD TOO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN.IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG SINCE WE "TALKED".I AM GLAD ALL WENT WELL WITH YOUR SURGERY.I AM PRAYING THAT YOU FEEL BETTER AND GET YOUR EDGE BACK.I KNOW HOW IT IS .I ALSO KNOW THAT FLU LIKE FEELING ONE GETS ON NEW OR DIFFERENT MEDS.I THINK MOST OF US HERE AND ALL RSD GROUPS KNOW AS I CONTINUE TOO SEE THAT .SO MANY MED OPTIONS BUT SO MANY SIDE EFFECTS.I AM GLAD THAT YOUR BACK TOO WRITING.I HOPE THAT YOU WILL BE BACK TOO YOUR SELF AGAIN.I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRIEND.YOUR BUDDY AND BROTHER IN CHRIST, THOMAS
Jolene, It's nice to meet you! We do have a lot in common. I love your page. One day I might figure out how to make my page as beautiful as yours. It's nice to talk to someone who has the same issue with rsd in the ankle. I do have a question for you if you don't mind. I'm really new with all this and still learning. I had an appointment with my PT yesterday and he was saying that it could just be nerve damage and maybe not rsd. But it's the sympathetic nerves that have damage and that's what the rsd it all about right? The burning pain is due to nerve pain. The sensitivity and swelling and lack of movement in the joint are all rsd symptoms, but he was saying that swelling - even swelling as bad as mine can be normal after a fracture for quite some time. My Dr said that this type of swelling is not normal at this time in the game. So really how do you know if it is just nerves that will heal vs rsd. or do you?
Any information will help, I have been all over the web looking for info and still am learning.
Thanks
Teresa
Hey Jolene, i am actually getting back to you since you wrote in Feb. This is pretty bad that it takes me this long to respond, sorry about that.
Been going through some personal stuggles with my pain and it makes it hard to stay in touch with all the friends that i have made and now feel like i'm neglecting for the past few months.
You meantioned that you were not online much at the time you wrote and you were tring to catch up yourself, well that pretty much sums up where i'm at right now.
Well I sure hope that Your easter will be a good one for you. Hopefully i will come around rest ministy more and try to pop my head in here to say Hi a little more often. Your in my thoughts and prayers tonight
Hi Jolene, Thank you for writing back. The RSD is in the injury site and it has spread. The surgeons refuse to operate on my hand even with nerve blocks because of the RSD. I am crying out to God for wisdom and mercy. Thanks for your prayers. Glad to hear that you are doing better and better!

Dear Jolene, I haven't e-mailed you or anyone else at rest ministeries for months. I have put over 5,000 miles on our car commuting to doctors' appointments and work comp court and legal requirements. The work injury and the awful RSD Pain has made the past 14 months long and exhausting. I have read on your web-site that you have recently had surgery successfully in spite of having RSD. Did it reeve up your RSD? Are you feeling better everyday? I hope so! I have shed many tears in frustration trying to get surgeons to operate to repair my hand! No one will agree to it BECAUSE I now have RSD. I have read the comments section on your sidebar about surgery and CT. Mayo Clinic says: "There's a 800 pound gorilla(RSD) in the room, and you want us to ignore that?" I want them to repair the structural damage in my hand to stop the RSD pain generator! How do I find a surgeon that will ever operate on me since I have RSD? Any thoughts you might have would be greatly appreciated! ---Rhonda Berg
